About

Amp Archives is a photographic archive of audio amplifiers for references purposes. Amp Archives is currently undergoing a major update in order to support functionality such as browsing, searching, submissions and feedback along with a responsive site design, your patience is appreciated during this transition.

Currently, Amp Archives is maintained by Phil Tucker, a Toronto-based software developer, musician, writer, motorcyclist and hardware enthusiast. Phil has contributed content to and been featured on blogs such as Engadget, Gizmodo, Hack-a-Day, MAKE, the award winning Canadian tech blog, Sync, and is constantly putting technology to work in new and ingenious ways.

If Phil’s not programming, playing music, building an amplifier, modifying a new gadget or sailing the Great Lakes then there’s really no telling what he’s up to.

Originally conceived, created and populated by Roger Cook, Amp Archives’ founding goal was to make his personal archive public in the hope that it would grow through community support. This site would not have been possible were it not for Roger’s herculean effort in gathering and organizing literally thousands upon thousands of images.
